Set in the early 90s in Canada during a time of social upheaval, “Savage” follows 15-year-old Randy, an immigrant from Guyana. Reunited with his devout Muslim father after a 9-year separation, Randy navigates a challenging new world. Amidst cultural clashes, street life temptations, and his father’s disapproval, Randy discovers solace in hip-hop. Taking the stage name “Savage, ” he embarks on a quest to make a name for himself in the rap scene, tackling adversities with beats and rhymes while yearning for his father’s acceptance.
